In a couple paragraphs you answered every single thing I wanted and needed to know about incorporating strides into my training regimen. I am a mid distance runner and I'm really starting to notice the importance of speedwork and turnover in order to excel at those eventsAnonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15003610778050820052noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2274438111706927359.post-57624826301237016112015-01-14T04:25:20.954-08:002015-01-14T04:25:20.954-08:00That will be a very valuable post. The best schedule I saw for this was Canova's 10k base phase that you posted some time back. Speed seems to always get left behind. Do you do strides the day after a workout day? I never do. An example would be yesterday I did 10x400 meter hill reps then 2 minute running rest an then a 4 mile tempo at 5:48. I would usually do strides tomorrow but I'm going to try them much more now after reading your post. Thank You.

By the way I turn 50 on Friday and I met my wife at 12 years old. She is one of the finer people on this earth. Much better than me. dannynoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2274438111706927359.post-43671406728041684422015-01-13T18:39:30.283-08:002015-01-13T18:39:30.283-08:00Danny- If your wife is like mine you are playing w...Danny- If your wife is like mine you are playing with fire if she ever finds that comment! I'll do a few more posts on full cycles and laying out training plans.
Just be careful not to add it all at once as that is a great way to get hurt!
natenateruns@hotmail.comhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/01851427962048556845noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2274438111706927359.post-82789180697379963332015-01-13T17:40:09.771-08:002015-01-13T17:40:09.771-08:00Nate I can't take it!

I'm doing 30x100m strides after Dos santos long run. :)
I'm having a hard time figuring out how to fit this all in. I guess I will go by my needs. How come my wife doesn't go by that? :)dannynoreply@blogger.com
